Tournament Wrap-up
The Livonia Soccer Club held the 4th Annual Ken Allerton Invitational Indoor Soccer Tournament January 30 and 31st at the Livonia High school.
This two day event hosted fifty five teams with over 550 players ages 10 through 13. Participating teams traveled from Addison, Alfred Almond, Albion, Arkport, Avon, Bloomfield, Batavia, Bath, Dansville, Gananda, Honeoye Falls, Livonia and Palmyra-Macedon to participate in the tournament.

On Saturday the girl teams competed for a spot in the championship game in each of the 4 divisions (U10, U11, U12 and U13). The Livonia girl's teams played strong winning the championship game in 3 of the 4 divisions (GU10 - Lady Lions, GU10 - Twisters and GU13 - Crush. The Alfred Almond girls won the U12 division.
On Sunday it was the boys turn to compete. Teams were well matched within the age divisions. BU10 division was won by Arkport while the BU11 was won by Alfred Almond.. The boys U13 and U12 championship games came down to sudden death overtime. In the U12 division, it ended with the HFL Blaze scoring on Bath with only two players for each team left on the field. The championship U13 game between Batavia YMCA and Alfred Almond ended in sudden death overtime with Batavia YMCA coming out on top.
The soccer club thanks all the teams, coaches and staff who participated and supported the tournament.
