Opening Game of the Panther Season

EXCELLENT Job to the Panthers for playing so hard in the hot conditions.  All girls were giving it their all even when some I'm sure were tired from rowing all day on the field trip.  Although Hilton won, everyone did a great job.  The points that were scored, were done as a team.  Everyone was talking to each other and listening to your coaches.

As a parent on the sideline, I can say, that you are all growing as a team.  Keep up the great work, and remember that it is just one game out of many for the season.

Day 2 of the Akron Tournament for the Panthers

First off, Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's that were on the sidelines cheering on the girls!

Early start to day 2.  The first game was 8 am and lets face it, the Panthers are not a morning team.  The game started and so did the flakes.  Yes snow flakes were flying in Akron this morning.  The girls played the Spencerport Strikers hard in the first half down 2 to nothing when the Panthers scored a last minutes score to come within 1 point of a tie.  The girls came out strong at the start of the 2nd half but then the sugar wore off and the strikers struck.  The girls took their first lost in the tournament 5 to 1.

First day at the Akron Tournament for the Panthers

What a day it was in Akron, NY.  50mph wind, Rain, sleet and even some flakes didn't stop the GU12 Panthers from doing AWESOME on the first day.

First team up was Bradford United from PA.  The Panthers pulled out a 4 to 1 win in the mist.  All the girls worked as a team and were excited heading into the second game.

After a break for lunch, the girls returned to the field to 50mph winds and the temps dropping fast.  For a time, the team thought the games would be called due to the wind, but they were told to hit the field.
